DANTE: THE HAND REARED WILD BOAR
When our friendly local vet gave us Dante, he was a one-day-old boar piglet who had just lost his mother and his chances of survival seemed pretty slim. He soon became one of the family and spent a lot of the time cuddling with us on the sofa like a spoiled puppy. After months of being bottle-fed he moved onto solids and is now a healthy 130-kg adult. Despite his menacing tusks, he’s a real softy because he’s used to living with us like one of the family!!!!
As soon as he sees us he rolls over ready to have his tummy scratched!!
